It’s such a delight being part of Apryl’s Blog hop this year.
I write Contemporary Romance (mainly) set in Australia. My latest books are part of the Australian Sports Stars Series – and I thought I give you a little idea, who I “thought of” when writing my main characters.
Enjoy!
Love Will Find You”
Paul Walker was “my Tyson”, although he hasn’t got the olive skin and dark hair like Tyson, a lot of Ty’s character traits are based on what I thought Paul would be like.
Blurb:
After his father’s heart attack, Australian Football League player Tyson Gaspaldi takes his parents on holiday to a small place at the New South Wales coast.
One morning, following a surfing session, he comes across a crying woman on the beach. Everything about her intrigues him, and he can’t walk away. She’s not only sexy and humble, but, as he soon finds out, vulnerable as well.
It’s only been a few months since Katie Cassidy lost her sister in a car accident.
Still overwhelmed by the loss, a chance encounter on the beach with an attractive stranger awakens unexpected emotions inside her. She’s instantly drawn to his caring nature, but also his looks.
However, Tyson’s past quickly catches up with them, causing Katie’s childhood demons to return, and the road to romance becomes anything but smooth.

“Let Me Love You”
This guy’s name is Brian Pruett. He’s an American baseball player. Once I ‘found’ his picture on the net, I knew he was ‘my Oliver’. I love his smile.
Blurb:
Oliver Dempsey, pitcher for a Melbourne baseball club, loves the women, and they love him…
But he keeps them at an arm’s length, and when he meets Tamara, he’s unprepared for the attraction he feels for her. Told by his coach that she’s off limits, only draws him in more.
Tamara Amis moved to Melbourne to find some distance between her past and herself…
With the help of her uncle, the coach of a Melbourne baseball club, she quickly finds a job, and a place to live. Yet, one meeting with the handsome pitcher stirs unexpected emotions that threaten to overwhelm her.
It’s Oliver’s injury that brings them together, but as they find out about each other’s pasts, how can they be ready to share a future?

“Book #3 Australian Sports Stars Series” –
Markus DeLeon is Friend #3 in the Sports Stars Series. Raphael Balzo was perfect to be ‘Markus”. I mean, look at these eyes!
There’s no Blurb yet, as I’m still writing the final touches to the book. Markus is a soccer player in Melbourne, and Ty and Oliver’s best friend.
But it’s his friendship – or is it more? – with Sarah that occupies the story. The question whether they should or shouldn’t risk a twenty-something year old friendship comes up for both after they’ve spent a night together.
I was born and raised in Germany and only immigrated to Australia in the late 1990s. Having had the travel bug most of my life, I spent some time living in Scotland, London, as well as Canada where I met her husband. My love for putting her stories onto paper only emerged a few years back, but now my laptop is a constant companion.
I live west of Melbourne with my husband and my beautiful two daughters as well as our dog. Next to my job at a private school, I also presents a German Program at the local Community Radio.
