MADISON
DALEY: Rock Star in the Making
Madison Daley (age 18) is the daughter of Michael Daley,
a.k.a. the “Grim Weeper” of the band Weep With the Willows (W3), and critically
acclaimed actress Jessica “Jacie” Redinger. For the first seventeen years of
her life, the connection between Jacie and Madison was unknown, and Madison was
commonly referred to as the “Basket Baby” because she was left in a basket on
her father’s doorstep as an infant. Now that the secrets are out, Madison is
determined to blaze her own path as an up and coming rock musician. Her band,
which is yet to be named, is currently in production of their first original
album.
Madison,
thank you for joining us at UR Teen Magazine again.
Thank you for having me!
We’re
sorry your sister isn’t able to make it at this time. Can you tell us a little
bit about the recent drama that separated you?
I’d rather not get into it. Let’s just say our previous
“bond” might not be everything we claimed it was.
Understandable.
After all, you only just met a few months ago.
Right.
Before
we talk about your new music venture, we’d like to know how your relationship
with your mother is progressing since the last time we talked.
Unfortunately, her cancer is progressing faster than our
relationship is. I don’t think I have much time left with her.
So
sorry to hear that.
Thanks.
How
are you adjusting to the thought of losing your mother so soon after finding
her?
It’s hard, but at least I know she’s sorry for what she did.
It would be much harder had I not found her until she was gone. My mission to
find her at all costs paid off in the end.
Well,
that’s good to hear. Now, tell us more about this band of yours. What sort of
music are you currently producing?
Our music is a mixture of metal and punk. Think punk
vocals with metal guitar riffs and drum solos. It’s actually very cool.
That
sounds great! Who is your biggest inspiration for your music?
Well, my dad, obviously, but after him I’d have to say
Avenged Sevenfold. I’m obsessed with their music and know how to play a ton of
their songs.
Avenged
Sevenfold is a great band. Do you have any other music influences?
Evanescence, Green Day, Three Days Grace, Seether,
Disturbed, and Breaking Benjamin just to name a few.
Excellent.
We look forward to seeing where you go from here. Any comment on the recent
scandals you’ve been involved in?
Not on your [expletive deleted] life.
We
didn’t think so. That’s all the time we have for today. Where can we follow you
