Introducing YA author Raine Thomas

It's a pleasure being a part of the 2013 YA Blog Fest. Thanks so much, Apryl, for having me as a participant!

Although my most recent novels, For Everly and Meant for Her (releasing 10/17), are New Adult contemporary romances, my first six novels are all YA fantasy romances. My first YA trilogy (Daughters of Saraqael) includes Becoming, Central, and Foretold. The second trilogy (Firstborn), takes place in the same world and includes Defy, Shift, and Elder.

The two trilogies enmesh readers in the world of the Estilorians, beings that once evolved alongside humans until they created their own plane of existence a couple of thousand years ago. Once they did so, they became the objects of human myths and legends. Think angels, gods and goddesses, and other legendary beings.

Since six books are a lot to promote in one blog post, I thought it would be fun to do a Top 6 list centered around the Estilorians. I reached out to my fans and asked them to send me their top reasons they'd recommend the Estilorian novels to other readers. Here is what they came up with:

Top 6 Reasons Why You'll Love the Estilorians

  1. Rich and captivating world-building
  2. Well-developed characters with unique powers and abilities
  3. Female protagonists that are strong, capable, and make you want to root for them
  4. Swoonworthy male characters (a lot of them!)
  5. Villains you love to hate
  6. Action, adventure, intrigue, humor, and romance packed into every book

There you have it! Thanks so much to my fans for helping create this list, and thanks to all of you for reading the Top 6 reasons to check out the Estilorians. I'll always have a passion for writing YA, and there's another Estilorian novel in the works for early next year...so I hope you'll start the series with Becoming today!
