My new Secret
Lives series is being released through Limitless Publishing. The first in
the series Undercover in Six Inch Stilettos
was released on November 10, 2015. The second in the series, In the Shadow of the Shield, is set to
be released on December 15, 2015 and the third book, not yet titled will be
available after the turn of the new year.
Undercover in Six Inch Stilettos is the story of Cyndi Mills, wife to the always ready for
anything police officer Jason Mills. After ten years of marriage they are still
totally hot for each other and have an amazing romantic life. Cyndi, however,
still fills a little unfulfilled and finds herself wrapped up in an unexpected
job that she has to keep secret from Jason. The bonus scene below takes place long
after the mystery in Undercover is
wrapped up but still shows how much Cyndi and Jason love and desire each other.
Just what would Cyndi give to Jason, the hardest man on Earth to
choose a Christmas gift for?
The Perfect Gift
Gooseflesh prickled along her bare arms as the key turned in the
lock. It wasn’t the chill of winter that elicited such a response but rather
the anticipation of Jason entering the room where she stood, leaning against
the mantle. A fire burned and the first few notes of Mariah Carey’s version of Santa Baby began to fill the silence.
It had been a while since Cyndi had worn the sparkling red boustier’ and
matching red stilettos but they still hugged her curves like they were designed
only for her.
“Hey, Cyn? You still up?” Jason entered the living room,
stopping in the doorway as his eyes met hers across the candle lit room. He
still wore his patrol uniform, causing her heart to skip a little beat. Jason
looked damn good in his uniform on any day but tonight, with a few snowflakes
still clinging to his dark hair and the glint of firelight reflecting off his
badge he was downright sexy.
“I couldn’t sleep.”
Jason’s eyes travelled slowly from the toe of her red heels past
her sequined covered bodice and up to meet her eyes. “I’m glad to hear that.”
She took a couple steps toward her husband as Mariah begged
Santa to hurry down her chimney. Jason was quicker, meeting her in front of the
sofa. “Are you here to arrest me, officer?”
“I ought to. You’ve got to be breaking at least a dozen laws in
that outfit. I didn’t realize you still had it.” His hands ran slowly up her
arms, massaged her shoulders gently then trailed back down until their
fingertips met.
“You know me, I never get rid of anything.” She wrapped her arms
around Jason’s neck and pulled him close. “I was trying to think of what to get
you for Christmas. You know, for the man who already has everything.”
The fabric of his uniform was still cold from being outdoors.
The shiver that danced down her spine could have been from that or the place
her husband’s lips had discovered right below her ear. “I have a feeling I am
going to love what you chose. Do I get to unwrap it now?”
“It’s still Christmas Eve for five more minutes. You’re just
going to have to wait until midnight.”
He leaned over, scooped her into his arms and headed toward
their bedroom. “Yeah, patience has never been one of my favorite virtues.”

ice several years ago. She now lives near the beach with her husband, their two
boys, two finicky cats and one old dog. When she is not at the baseball field
cheering on big hits and home runs, she is busy teaching science to unwilling
teenagers.
