Meet Author Tia Silverthorne Bach

Hi, I’m Tia Silverthorne Bach, author of the Tala Prophecy series. This series highlights the ancient struggle of good versus evil and features shapeshifters (wolves). On one side, there’s Rafe—part Devil—who leads a pack of demon-werewolf hybrids. He wants Hell unleashed.

All that can stop him is a prophecy written long ago and a sword born of Heaven. At the heart of the prophecy is Reagan, a seventeen-year-old girl who has only a few months to fully realize her power and obliterate evil from the world. All while missing prom. Not fair.

Today, I thought I’d interview Reagan so everyone could get to know her better.

TSB: Welcome, Reagan. I know you are in the middle of battle planning, but I wanted to ask you some questions.

Reagan: Shoot.

TSB: You started off the year worried about prom, friend issues, and your boyfriend and ended it with a drastically new life and the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Reagan: I wasn’t worried about prom, and my boyfriend was no big loss. I do miss my friends, but I’ve made some amazing new ones. Plus, there’s Rowan.

Rowan: Did I hear my name?

Reagan: Hold up, I’m being interviewed. Back to your question, there were a lot of changes quickly. Family I didn’t really know came into my life, and I had to start training to figure out my new strength and powers. Learning how to shift was only the beginning. Now I’m working on breathing fire. I know it sounds crazy, but it comes in handy. Trust me.

TSB: Rowan, since you stopped by, how’s Reagan doing?

Rowan: I’m so proud of her. She got thrown into this war with my brother. She didn’t ask for it, but she’s not a whiner. My Tala kicks some butt, I must say.

TSB: Tala?

Reagan: Yes, it means red wolf.

TSB: Ah, that’s sweet. Okay, back to our interview. Rafe has stopped at nothing to unleash evil, including commanding demon wolves, taking your brother, and destroying countless lives. Will you be able to stop him?

Rowan: We don’t have an option. According to the prophecy, if he wins, Hell opens up.

Reagan: Rowan’s right. Losing is not an option. It’s going to be tough, though. Rafe’s created his own army with demon blood. But we have angels on our side.

TSB: Angels?

Reagan: Yes, my grandmother is teaching me about my gifts, which were handing down through my great-grandmother (and many before her). I have angel blood, and angels watch over us.

TSB: Can’t they simply end the evil then?

Reagan: (rolls her eyes) It’s not that simple. They can offer guidance and support, but they aren’t allowed to intervene. (looks skyward) Sure would be easier if they would. They are leading us to a weapon that only those with angel blood can wield, a sword.

TSB: Sounds interesting.

Reagan: It’s the key to our success. Now, we just have to find it.

TSB: Your family had to leave behind everything to join you on this journey. How are they holding up?

Reagan: It’s been tough. My mom didn’t want this life. She left her mother and sister behind years ago to avoid her destiny. Of course, she thought her father was brutally killed, so that didn’t help. Yet, she still ended up where she was supposed to be. It taught me something very important… you can choose your path, but your destiny is still the destination. Fighting it prolongs the inevitable.

TSB: Rowan, I can see you beaming with pride.

Rowan: (a sexy smirk on his face) She’s my girl, and I’m proud. A lot of people would crumble under the pressure, and she hasn’t. She’s incredible.

Reagan: (blushing) Without you, I’d be dead, so don’t give me too much credit. But, I will not let Rafe destroy any more lives. He’s done enough damage!

TSB: Wow, you’re fired up. What do you miss about normal life?

Reagan: I miss going to the mall, a good movie, time for reading… anything carefree. I’d like to go on a date (looks out of the corner of her eye at Rowan and smiles). Now, all I think about now is keeping my family safe and stopping Rafe.

Rowan: I hope that’s not all you think about. But in all seriousness, I care about your family, too, and I’ll do everything I can to keep them safe. Rafe destroyed my family; I will not let him destroy yours.

TSB: You two sound like quite the team.

Reagan: We are part of a great team. When all of this is over, we’ll give into our feelings more, but with so much at stake…

Rowan: … we are taking it slow. But Tala knows I love her.

Chasing Destiny, Tala Prophecy book 3, will release this month, and the final book in the series, Chasing Eternity, will be out by the end of 2015.

  1. This really sounds like a great series! Reagan and TSB seem to have some destinies to serve. They also sound like they are in love. At least RSA admits it! :)
