Meet Author Laura Templeton

I’m excited to be posting today for the Romance Blogfest. Thanks for checking in, and I do hope you enjoy your time on the site.

I’m Laura Templeton, author of the new-adult novel Summer of the Oak Moon, released on May 5, and Something Yellow, published in 2013. Both are southern Gothic romances – which means you get your romance fix with a side order of mystery and a southern setting. I hope you’ll check them out.

But enough about me. Today, I’ve put together a couple of fun things for you.

I’ve got a challenging (I hope) quiz to test your romance IQ. And after that, be sure to enter to win a $10 Amazon gift card. So, kick back with some coffee or tea and enjoy!

Laura’s Books & Bio

heart set on, Tess Seibert dreads the hot, aimless summer ahead. But when a chance encounter with a snake introduces her to Jacob Lane, a black college student home on his summer break, a relationship blooms that challenges the prejudices of her small, north Florida town.

When Jacob confesses that Tess’s uncle is trying to steal his family’s land, Tess comes face to face with the hatred that simmers just below the surface of the bay and marshes she’s loved since birth. With the help of her mentor Lulu, an herbal healer, Tess pieces together clues to the mysterious disappearance of Jacob’s father twenty-two years earlier and uncovers family secrets that shatter her connection to the land she loves.

Tess and Jacob’s bond puts them both in peril, and discontent eventually erupts into violence. Tess is forced to make a decision. Can she right old wrongs and salvage their love? Or will prejudice and hatred kill any chance she and Jacob might have had?

  2. Not to be rude, but you have the wrong King Edward here!

Edward II? REALLY. TRY EDWARD VIII! Edward VIII was the uncle of Queen Elizabeth II from the Windsor dynasty!

Good heavens -- King Henry VIII's son was Edward VI -- as anyone who knows anything about Tudor history knows!

Edward II was born in 1284 and died in 1327. He was also homosexual.
